TOZUKO: ORIGIN STORY

You woke up one morning feeling different. It wasn't just your being that felt off, but everything around you. Every surface seemed sharper, and all colours looked brighter. These were some of the more 'normal' effects you experienced.

As you walk on the street, you notice that every person – including police officers and news reporters are fleeing from you. You are confused by this, and try to figure out what happened; Why is everyone running from you? You swear that nothing had been different the day before. Your routine was not different, at least not in any significant way.

Breakfast, work, karaoke bar, and finally home. Just like every other Tuesday night. But maybe that wasn't all true…? You recall an old, witch-looking woman who grabbed your arm on your way home from jamming out at the karaoke bar for the last couple of hours.

Why did she grab your arm? You remembered her quiet whispers to you, but you don't recall what they were. If only that damn ambulance siren weren't nearby! You could barely make out a single syllable, and it all seemed like mumbles. You think she whispered “chosen” or maybe it was “forsaken”? Ugh. The sake you filled your body with didn't help your memory. You just shrugged off your encounter as just another strange homeless encounter (you seemed to have a lot of those recently) and staggered back home.

You didn't think much of the news reports on your phone or the emergency alerts of strange phenomena happening all over the city. After all, the sake you drank had numbed your brain. Sleep was very much welcome. Just another Tuesday night, right?

As you're trying to recollect your thoughts about what happened yesterday, you sense a surge of power coursing through your body - power you had never felt before. Perhaps the alerts last night related to you? Perhaps everyone is running from you because of your encounter? Could it be that others met that lady too and are experiencing the same things you are?

A shocking realization sinks in. There are endless ways you could spend your newfound power. You could choose to be a hero, saving old ladies stuck in trees or helping kittens cross the street - or something along those lines. But perhaps there are other uses for your power - anything your heart desires, without anyone daring to stop your path. The decision is yours.

THE MAKING OF TOZUKO

Early Stage (Complete)

When it came to creating the name and logo, we wanted something that was exciting, distinctive, and immediately recognizable. We wanted to come up with a term that had never been used before and that would be distinctive to us and our community. Tozuko's definition will be whatever the community, with the assistance of our team, decides it to be in the end.

Art (In Progress)

We wanted to differentiate ourselves from the crowd by adopting a unique approach with the angle of the PFPs. We strive to stand out from the crowd in all we do. Be able to provide enough diversity so that each one is unique to the person who holds it. We're taking the time to draw to ensure that the art is of excellent quality! We also want to include the community as much as possible, which is why we're enabling the OGs and public separately to choose one trait that will be added to the collection as a result of a vote.

Contract (In Progress)

We aim to conserve as much gas as possible for the community, which is why we are using ERC721A, which allows for several mints for a small amount of gas. For the sake of ensuring that the whole experience is the most fair it possibly can be, we integrated provenance hash and starting index to ensure that everything is completely random and cannot be manipulated when it comes to revealing the PFPs. We are also developing a function that would enable Shirolisted individuals to get a discount by minting two PFPs, helping them to save even more money.

Minting Dapp (In Progress)

Once again, with the community in mind, we've created a clean and attractive user interface for a quick and straightforward minting experience that works for both mobile and desktop although we recommend desktop for a quicker transaction!

Communication (In Progress)

If there is one thing we despise, it is when there is no communication. That is something we will make a point of having with our community at all times. You've got a question? We've got an answer. We aim to keep the community involved and informed about everything we're working on, with the exception of a few secrets here and there to keep things exciting of course.

Community (Always)

As with anything, none of this would be possible without the support of the community, therefore we want to make sure that we are listening to any comments or criticism that you may have, as well as any new ideas that might help this project blossom into something really wonderful!

BANNER COLLECTION

Tozuko Banners (Starting at 50% sales)

Once the collection sells 50%, we will be starting on the art for the Tozuko Banners in order to have it ready in the next few months for our holders. Banners will have traits similar to the original collection for a pleasant aesthetically attractive combination, however, they will be generated randomly, much like the original collection so you might have to go hunting for the ideal one to match your PFP! These banners will be made to be used as Twitter banners and they will allow you to showcase up to 3 of your favorite NFTs that you own in your wallet. These will be free + gas to holders of Tozuko PFPs. More info coming soon.

Website Image Editor (Shortly after the start of Banners)

The Banners collection will have a unique image editor in which you will be able to link your wallet, choose a banner that you own as a backdrop, and select which three NFTs you possess in your wallet to display on the banner. Following your satisfaction with the results, you will be able to save the file as an image that you can then use as a banner on your Twitter profile.

TOZUKO WORLD

Origin Story (In progress)

The origin story is the genesis of everything in the Tozuko World. From here, we will build on the mythology and, with the support of the community, we will be able to create a really unique tale.

Lore Continuation (In progress)

The community will play a significant role in this, assisting us in the development of a fantastic narrative in which Tozukos are the primary characters. Each holder has a unique tale to tell, and we will make every effort to include them as fully as possible in the overall story.

ROADMAP 2.0 - THE FUTURE

Merchandise (TBD)

We want you to be able to represent Tozuko outside of Web3, which is why we'll be offering Premium Tozuko-themed apparel in the near future. We will also design a custom deck of playing cards along with keychains, trinkets, figurines, and more, all of which will be available for purchase as a Tozuko holder!

Manga (TBD)

Once Tozuko World is fairly complete, we will take the lore and create a beautiful manga that will showcase the creative minds of our community coming together as a whole.

Metaverse (TBD)

This is something that will probably take the longest to do out of all because we want to make sure we deliver quality with everything that we do. Hiring the right people for this will be crucial so we want to make sure that we take our time and don’t rush anything. More info on this coming at a later date.
